We aren’t messing around this week. Straight into a list of bits that are turning my head. Enjoy, and let me know what turns yours.
This time of year always sparks the urge to refresh the crew neck t shirt section of my wardrobe. While I have a lot of love for the Cos Clean Cut T-shirt, I’ve picked up a few of these Arket numbers which are cheaper, a little lighter and still oh so very good. They are available in roughly a bajillion colours but they have an annoying knack of selling out in the one you like best (damn and blast). Klaxon sounds, off you go.
My feet are like a weather vane in that the temperature raises imperceptibly to most of us and my mutant feet let it be down that they are fully aware of the ‘heat’, which makes the wearing of heels more difficult. As such, I find myself in the notion for some nice new loafers - and either these or these might just be the ones I decide upon. Also, these jelly sandals seem like fun and an absolute steal, so will be ordering them too.
If you do require some heeled sandals these low heeled ones from Zara are giving serious Toteme vibes, and these from MASSIMO DUTTI are forgiving of even the thickest of ankles.
The sun will soon surely set on the the colour brown’s day in the sun. BUT STILL I find myself drawn to this set from Mango. The bubble shaped skirt is having a bit of a moment, so move quickly. The earrings are Mango too - and we all know how I feel about a good earring.
The barrel shape trouser is going nowhere and I think this is terrific news. Throw out your black jeans and step towards these perfect black trousers (not a phrase I throw around lightly). Dress them up or down, they have the perfect curve, a great length for us 5ft 7 ish people, and flat tummy panel with zip up the back. They work well with a simple t-shirt, or with this top from Mango if you’re feeling fancy. I also have my eye on this suede pair from ASOS, but the price tag is holding me back. All the same, them, a white tee and a red nail - thats a look.
I have a number of black tie functions coming uo this year, and the first one was this week. Quelle quandary to decide what to wear, but I returned to an old favourite label to select from: Solace London. I was drawn to the dress below - as you can see I ditched the matching sunglasses but I felt pretty damn good in it. I bought another for an event later in the year too, as I just couldn’t leave it behind.
Back next week.
Until then,
Big love
Una
